DARK DOG rider Jules Cluzel holds
fourth position overall in Moto2

after sensational world championship race in Jerez (Spain)

Jerez, Spain: In front of an incredible spectator number of more than 122,000 Spanish fans, the second ever Moto2 race has taken place on the circuit of Jerez de la Frontera in Spain last weekend. Although the race was difficult for both riders of the Forward Racing Team, Jules Cluzel was able to earn important positions and finished at just 8 seconds from the winner by currently holding a fantastic fourth position overall in Moto2 - the new intermediate class of the MotoGP!

Qualifying on the day before already gave an idea about what a great show the spectators could expect for the race day and the current season: more than 20 riders finished an exciting qualifying within one second - among them DARK DOG riders Jules Cluzel and Claudio Corti who gained a starting position from the fourth row of the grid for the deciding Sunday race!

Andrea Dosoli, Team Manager of Forward Racing Team commented on the qualifying results: "This is Moto2! Such a close starting grid has never been there before, preview for a spectacular race."

On Sunday, both DARK DOG riders had a good start and Jules Cluzel performed very strategic. Unfortunately, he was slowed down by the missing confidence with the front wheel of his bike and tried just to collect as many points as possible for the world championship standing, where he covers a fantastic fourth position at the moment.

His team mate Claudio Corti stated a constantly good race performance right from the start until he was immediately held up by the crash of Juan Olive and lost 8 important positions. That's why he had to race quite far from the top of the competition, even if his lap times were not too far from the fastest riders!

The next race will take place 23rd May 2010 in Le Mans, France and DARK DOG as well as Team Forward Racing are confident of further improvement with only one aim: to finish the world championship and the upcoming race on the podium!

Jules Cluzel

"I had to ride an intelligent race, controlling myself and trying not to make any mistake because I started from the back. I just wanted to make as many points as possible. Now we need to work on the bike to be more competitive during the qualifying practice, making sure that I can fight for the top positions from the beginning on. The next race is in France, so it will be a special motivation for me.

Claudio Corti

"I'm a bit disappointed that I had to break when Olive crashed, I probably would have made my first points in the world championship. But anyway, I realised that I can fight with the other riders and passing them one after the other, I felt some small satisfactions. It's a pity because when I had a look at my lap times I recognised that it would have been possible to make a good result."
