DARK DOG is happy to preannounce that the cooperation with the Italian-based Forward Racing Team will not only be extended for the Moto2 GP World Championship 2011, but DARK DOG will also join the Team with 2 more riders in the 125ccm series. It is the second year of the Moto2, as only in 2010 it started as a new category to replace the 250cc class.
DARK DOG will be for the second season the official Energy Drink of the Forward Racing Team with the riders Alex Baldolini and Jules Cluzel. The French rider Jules Cluzel is a familiar face at Dark Dog - 2010 he was already part of the Forward Racing Team and made the best season result in 2010 with a win at the Grand Prix in Silverstone, Great Britain.
The Italian rider Alex Baldolini will replace Claudio Corti in the Forward Racing Team. He can demonstrate also many years of experience, as he started racing already at the age of 8 on a mini motorbike.
Moto2 and the Forward Racing Team mean: entertainment, global appeal, dynamism, energy, innovation, technology, professional attitude & excitement - all attributes that also characterize DARK DOG - the Guaranį & Vitamin Energy Drink.
For the first time Dark Dog will be the official Energy Drink for the 125cc team with the riders Hiroki Ono from Japan and Daniel Kartheininger from Germany.
The 125cc class is the smallest class of the MotoGP, but for sure the most exiting one! Even 7 times World Champion Valentino Rossi never misses out watching the 125cc races. It is the class for the new young talents, who are striving for the challenge and the experience for their career. Dark Dog will support these young riders on their way to the top!
Last week all of the riders met in Estoril, Portugal, to prepare for the season 2011. But unfortunately the trials were dominated by bad weather conditions, and almost none of the riders could put on his suit and try the asphalt because of heavy rains. With a more optimistic weather forecast, the meeting is postponed for the final three-day IRTA test at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, on 4 to 6 March.
The Moto2 and the 125cc class - as well as DARK DOG as sponsor of the Forward Racing Team and the 125cc Team - will definitely have a great worldwide media exposure in more then over 200 broadcasting stations.
Dark Dog wishes MORE ENERGY and the most successful season for the four riders. We will keep you posted on the Team preparation.
