On 2nd and 3rd of April Paraguay was hosting the Latin American Golf Channel Championship in Paraguay. The competitors performed at the traditional Golf Club Centenario - Surubi’i (Limpio, Paraguay) and counted with DARK DOG as an exclusive sponsor, filling both days of the tournament with energy.
The Latin American Golf Channel Championship golf event is of high importance for the region, where thousands of amateur golfers of all levels experience the opportunity to participate in an international competition with television coverage.
The circuit is held in 12 countries in the region and consists of more than 180 tournaments. The competitions are for men of all levels and the top of each country qualify for the international final to be played at Royal Decameron Golf Beach Resort & Villas (Panama) from 3rd to 6th of May.
This final will determine not only the Latin American champion in each category, but also the players are going to participate as a „team“ representing their respective countries, adding the value of a competition between nations. TV coverage is permanent throughout the year with a summary of the tournaments in all countries, allowing an unprecedented spread of amateur tournaments in the world.
The Paraguayan final was a resounding success, which brought together more than 130 players fighting for one of the five places in the country‘s representative team that will visit Panama next month. These places were finally in the hands of Scratch: Jani Delmas, category A: Carlos Palumbo, Category B: Diego Gómez, Category C: Felix Soerensen and Senior Category: Luís Pampliega Caballero.
